Lilac Breasted Roller

Originally my interest was photographing  the African “Big Five” (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Giraffe, Water Buffalo) –  only got four – the Leopard eluded us. However, what really excited me was the birds and their incredible colors.

This image was taken in Etosha National Park.

I have done very little photoshopping of this image (adjusted the exposure and tweaked the vibrance a hair). So I have reproduced the image of this bird (Lilac Breasted Roller) as I perceived it. My camera captures the image… I use Photoshop to express my feelings as I take the photo.
